Because one Gucci Bamboo fragrance wasn’t enough, Coty has gone and doubled the dose.
A limited-edition version of the original Gucci Bamboo, which hit shelves in 2015, is working its way to airports in Europe, Asia and the Americas. You might wonder what makes this scent different to its bigger sister. The answer is: not a lot! The woody, floral fragrance itself remains unchanged apart from being tinged with a pink hue.
The packaging, however, has been given a facelift to capture the poetry and romance that underscores Gucci’s aesthetic. Designed by Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele, the lavender-coloured box is decorated with a pretty bamboo garden and small birds. The bottle, inspired by art deco lines, comes with a silver bamboo stopper.
Naturally, Gucci has come up with an ultra girly advertising image for the edp, complete with ruffles and lace, starring model Polina Oganicheva.
