‘Super premium herbal liqueur’: Jägermeister raises game with Manifest

Jagermeister Manifest bottle landscape

Airport shoppers in Europe will have a chance to get their hands on a new premium drink from Jägermeister later this year.

Aside from some exclusive bars, clubs, hotels and restaurants around Europe, Heinemann retail stores – in Copenhagen, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Vienna, Budapest, Berlin and Oslo airports – will be the only places shoppers can purchase the new Manifest bottle.

Described by Jägermeister as “the first worldwide super-premium herbal liqueur”, the drink will be available from 1 April and will cost around €30 for a 1 litre bottle.

Based on the original Jägermeister recipe, but with a twofold maturation process, a greater number of botanicals than the traditional line and five macerates instead of four, Manifest was designed to be sipped not taken as a shot. Ideally it would be consumed like a single malt whisky and drunk at room temperature, according to the team behind the latest creation from the German drinks company.

Jägermeister aficionados will know the core drink is best served cold; minus-18 degrees Celsius is recommended by the brand.

Due to the intricate production process of Manifest, only 60,000 bottles will be made available in the first year. In time, it is expected to become a global brand like its older sister – but in 2017 shoppers will only be able to pick it up in Europe.

Jägermeister Global Brand Ambassador Nils Boese said: “Jägermeister’s master distillers have created a highly unique and captivating composition that is bound to resonate with connoisseurs.”
