This striking turquoise bottle is bound to attract attention. Royal Salute, one of the world’s top ultra-premium blended whiskies, has added a new expression to its portfolio, available exclusively at DFS Singapore duty free this month. The design has been inspired by the sport of polo, pairing the ‘King of Whisky’ with the ‘Sport of Kings’.
The bottle encapsulates azure skies and the verdant grass of a polo field, amalgamating into eye-catching turquoise. The elaborate, hand-crafted porcelain bottle also features embossed polo participants at play.
The limited-edition Scotch whisky has been blended from malts and grains, before being matured for a minimum of 21 years. Honeydew melon, homemade jam and toffee flavours dominate this smooth, bright and surprisingly delicate whisky.
If you can’t make it to Singapore this June, the 21yo whisky will be available at selected global travel outlets from September for US$140. Alternatively, try your luck in the online auction for the very first bottle of this limited edition whisky. Running until 14 June with a reserve price of £7,000, the money raised from the sale will be donated to Sentebale (the charity co-founded by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho).
