A Taste of France: Grey Goose Riviera Takes Flight at Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport

You’re lounging in a deck chair alongside a beach bar, when a chic French waiter hands you a refreshing cocktail. Are you relaxing on the French Riviera? No, you’re in Terminal 2E of Paris Charles De Gaulle airport. To launch the latest edition of Grey Goose Vodka, the French coast has been brought to Paris duty free by Lagardère Travel Retail. There’s even petite pétanque if you fancy playing a game of French boules.

Throughout June and July, travellers can sample Le Grand Fizz cocktail (a delectable shot of Grey Goose, with elderflower, lime and soda water) and see just how refreshing this vodka can be.

Made from French winter wheat from Picardie (of such high quality that it’s used to make the finest patisserie, too) and spring water from Gensac-Le-Pallue, Grey Goose Riviera is a limited-edition release for Summer 2017. The bottle has been inspired by impressionist paintings and colours of the marinière, to celebrate summer in France.

With every purchase of two 1 litre bottles, a complimentary Grey Goose cocktail glass will be given, so you can recreate the experience at home. With the Grey Goose range including Grey Goose VX, Grey Goose Interpreted by Ducasse, and versions flavoured with pear, orange, lemon and black cherry, choosing just two may be tricky…

PretAirporter says: This vodka has a delicate floral aroma with hints of citrus and fresh coconut. It has a smooth, rounded texture and the flavour has a gentle creamy sweetness with nuances of almond. The delicate, slightly anise finish is refreshing yet satisfyingly long. Enjoy it simply over ice or in your favourite cocktail.
