Art supply shops are one of life’s great pleasures. Even if you’re not an artist, the rows of perfectly sharpened pencils, tubes of paint, bottles of ink, paper-wrapped pastels, pristine brushes and crisp sheets of virgin paper and card are a joy to behold.
In the words of Bobbi Brown herself: “As a freelance artist, I used to shop at art stores. I’d look at the coloured pencils and tubes of paints and dreamed of art-store inspired make-up.”
The dream became reality, first with Bobbi Brown’s Art Sticks, coveted for their long-wearing, bright colours and convenience of having a lipstick and liner in one. Now, the updated version, Art Stick Liquid Lip, offers a super-pigmented, semi-matte lip colour in an easy-squeezy artist’s tube package.
Creamy, yet ultra-lightweight at the same time, Art Stick Liquid Lip provides a bold, strong look while conditioning lips with a moisturising formula. It is designed to be long-lasting (eight hours) and the squeezable tube application is perfect for carrying around and applying on the move. The range of 16 colours moves from nudes to brights to full-on bolds to suit every look.
Tips for application:
Give the tube a gentle squeeze. Emphasis on gentle, as you will get a much better finish by starting with a little product.
Coat the lower lip with the colour.
Press lips together.
Finish by perfecting the lip line.
Et voilà: A masterpiece.
