Oh Paris! You’ll never run out of your charm, allure and glamour. Season upon season, the fashionistas from around the world will continue to strut down your very cobbled streets to report on next season’s fashion, beauty and accessory trends, but you… you will continue to wow us all with your vintage tinkle.
During Paris Fashion Week SS18, we learnt the Kardashian sisters don’t care about fashion weeks anymore, but also that the new Parisian signature look is romantic, bold, and fresh. Kardashian in the house, not not!
Here are four travel-exclusive launches from the week it was in the French capital, all available at travel retail around the world.
Jil Sander Elixir
Jil Sander’s advent to ’90s minimalism and its understated designs is what made the brand famous on the fashion front. And even today the label continues to spell out an androgynous, clean aesthetic for its fans. This season, in collaboration with permufer Christophe Raynaud, Jil Sander has reinterpreted the original perfume to give us something new. Something fresh. Something more suited for the millennial.
Jil Sander Elixir is a symphony of blood mandarin, red ginger, iris, rose and powdery violet. As the scent deepens, the warmth of the vanilla unwraps in an enigmatic veil of patchouli and suave leather. It’s Parisian perfection, if you may.
Rouge Dior Liquid Lipstick
The house of Dior has released its first ever lip stain, which might fool you with their lip gloss circa 2001 appearance, however they are anything but. The Rouge Dior liquid lip stain come in matte, satin and metal finish and four extreme shades to suit every skin colour. Its lightweight coverage and long-lastung wear is just what every busy woman needs in her handbag.
Being a Dior girl is a state of mind. She’s slightly rebellious, she knows when to push the limits, and she’s still elegant and classy. The new Rouge Dior campaign is orchestrated by beauty extraordinaire Peter Philips and shot by photographer David Sims. Oh, and did we mention it features the beautiful Natalie Portman? Goals.
The lipsticks are available at T Galleria Beauty by DFS Hong Kong, with other DFS locations to follow soon.
L’Oréal Paris X Balmain
When Olivier Rousteing, creative director of Balmain Paris, announced a makeup collaboration with L’Oréal Paris, our wallets jumped out of our handbags. The non-apologetic, fearless and affordable capsule lipstick collection is officially available now and it’s the talk of the town.
With this collection Rousteing brings the raw creativity with which he has reinvented Balmain, from the Paris runways to his first ever beauty collection. The marriage between high fashion and affordable beauty is obvious in all 12 shades, and these lipsticks are soon becoming the ultimate must-have beauty purchase of the season.
The dreamy matte hues are separated into three different colour combos with different coloured marble-printed tubes. Each colour is more chic than the next, and all worth your Instagram.
L’Oréal Paris x Balmain lipsticks are available in Travel Retail Europe and will be rolled out to Travel Retail Asia Pacific from January 2018.
